Giving Opportunities

Stewardship

A Christian Steward is open who answers God’s call to discipleship through prayer, serve and ministry to others.

Stewardship is the giving of one’s time, talent and treasure.  Here at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, we believe that as we give back to the community, we are not only growing as Catholic individuals, but as a Catholic community.  It is through stewardship that our parish becomes stronger in faith and our mission of service through God’s glory becomes fulfilled.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church now offers a safe, secure and dependable online giving option that complements our offering envelope use.By signing up to give your weekly offering and special collections online, you assist in the parish accurately forecasting their finances and strategically planning their distribution of funds towards items such as faith formation and daily expenses.

Benefits of Online Giving Include:

  • No more forgetting your envelope or checkbook at home
  • 24/7 web-based access
  • Credit card option allows you to take advantage of your credit card reward systems
  • Allows you to give to your parish and causes even if you are unable to attend parish services
  • Reduce the number of envelopes needed to print and mail
  • Safe, secure and confidential

In addition to weekly offerings at mass, we also offer a variety of ways to give:

Mass Intentions

To offer a mass in honor/in memory of someone or for a certain cause, one makes a freewill offering, called a stipend, in order to apply a specific intention to a Mass. In addition, your stipend contributes to the upkeep of the Church and daily expenses.

Due to the difficulty of scheduling Masses Online, please contact the parish office at (217) 824-8178.

Bequests and Wills

A planned gift during your lifetime or a bequest in your will directs valuable funds to the ministries of the Church. If you wish to make a gift of bequest, contact the parish office at (217) 824-8178 concerning arrangements and possibilities.
